She is really getting after it!
I finally gave in and took Elle to see her pediatrician this morning. I have been fighting the urge to take her in for two days now and just decided it would be best to ease my mind. I was not sure if Elle's runny nose had anything to do with teething??? She also started sneezing and coughing a little yesterday. And of course there is the no napping issue that started 3 days ago. So, all of those things combined made me decide to call up the doc.
The best part of every visit is the weigh in. I just love getting to see how much she has gained. It has been a month since our last appointment and she weighed 13 lbs. 9 oz at that checkup. This time she weighed....drum roll please......14 lbs. 14 oz! Holy smokes!! Such a healthy baby!
Her doctor and I sat and talked for quite a while about all of the things I had observed over the past few days. She does think she is getting her bottom two teeth in so at least I was right on about that. Except I thought it was the top teeth that were coming in :) As for the congestion, she told me to get a cold humidifier and put that in her room. She also gave me a decongestant so hopefully that will clear it up. The sleeping issue is just something we are going to have to work on again! Not much advise on that one :( She also thinks I am feeding Elle too much of the rice cereal.....oh did I mention she has been constipated AGAIN! So, all of those things combined stressed me out more and made me feel like I have no clue what I am doing! But, I talked to my mom afterwards and she eased my mind. "Babies are somewhat of a mystery" she told me. I guess it is a bit of a guessing game! Love you mom and thanks for listening!
I went to Target and picked up a humidifier.....tried it out at "nap time" and IT WORKED! Baby girl slept for an hour and 20 minutes (long nap for her).
She was rejuvenated and played for an hour and a half afterwards. Here are pics of the drool machine in action.

So glad the humidifier helped! Hope she will get over her sniffles soon and that teething doesn't bother her too much. Maybe with some rest she will be better able to deal with it. What a cutie--I think her big blue eyes look just like Aidan's in that one photo!
Poor baby girl...sill soo cute and sweet even though she is hurting....Mason did not get his first tooth until 9months old and still at 22 months he only has 9 teeth...but getting them in slowly :)
