We left Thursday afternoon and headed to Abilene to spend the holiday at my dad's house. Elle did great in the car (shocking!!) We decided she prefers Miles' truck since she is higher up and can see out the windows. She did not cry until we hit Abilene :) We were very proud of her! My sister Bonnie and her husband Dave drove in from Amarillo and my sister Susan, her husband Corey and their kiddos, Aidan and Ally,  came over to my dads house as well to greet us. We just relaxed and watched Aidan play on the big water slide that evening. Dad and Marsha had prepared a feast, as usual, so we had a great dinner and then headed to bed.
My cousin Emily, her husband Kevin and their girls, Kailey and Madison, came out on Friday. They brought their boat and lots of fireworks for that evening. All of the kids had such a fun time playing on the water slide and tubing on the lake. Marsha's daughter Kim also came out with her two kids, Sydney and Dustin. It was so much fun watching all of the kiddos play and imagining Elle at their age! It is crazy how time flies and how much all of the kids have grown. Ally is walking all over the place and has HAIR! She didn't have any for the longest time. She is such a momma's girl! Aidan is just a s sweet as can be. He never sees to amaze me at how loving he can be. He spent the night at dad's house with us and every morning he would give Bonnie and I a huge hug and tell us " I love youuuuuu" So precious.
We spent some time on the boat and ate our weight that day! Kevin took the cousins tubing and boy did he give us a ride! We were all in tears by the end of it from laughing so hard!
That night we all sat outside by the lake and shot off fireworks. The kids LOVED watching them go off and the crazy sounds they made. Elle was up in our room sleeping like a log...I thought surely the fireworks would wake her up but she didn't budge.
We pretty much spent the rest of the weekend relaxing and having fun on the lake. I had not attempted to wakeboard since before I was pregnant so I was pretty shaky at it. After trying several times and only staying up for a few minutes on the wakeboard, I decided to stick to the slalom since I have no patience for things I can't pick up right away :) I managed to get sun burned and extremely sore from it but it was fun while it lasted!
We headed home on Sunday after saying goodbye to everyone. I hate goodbyes...always have. I used to cry every time we would leave a family function when I was little. I just wish we could all live in the same town and see each other all of the time!
It was a wonderful trip and I loved seeing my dad with Elle. He was so good with her and she just loved all of the attention! She spent a lot of time with Marsha, as well , and they really seemed to hit it off. I was so proud of her for going to everyone and being such a happy girl!

Oh my gosh, what a bunch of cuties. Glad you had a great time with everyone. Ally has really changed since I last saw her! They are the three most adorable kids ever. I'm so glad Elle did well in the car and went to everyone easily. :)
