Yesterday I turned the big 29. It feels really strange to think this is my last year in my twenties. All of my friends and I have discussed how we have no idea where the time has gone! I feel the same as I did when I was 22 though I would never go back to those years. Don't get me wrong, that is the age I was when I married Miles. We were moving all over the place while he was playing baseball. We met so many wonderful people and now have friends all over the place. But it is nice to be settled. And most importantly, we have Elle and there is nothing better than that! So, I embrace my last year in my twenties and really do look forward to my thirties. Miles will be turning thirty next month and if that is what thirty looks like, sign me up :)
Speaking of my husband, he really out did himself yesterday. Elle and I woke up to him bringing flowers into the house. They are beautiful! It was a wonderful way to start the day! Elle and I just hung around the house the rest of the day. Once Miles got home from work, we took Elle to Grammy and Popi's house so that we could go to dinner. We had a really yummy dinner at Shinsei. I had told Miles I really wanted sushi since I had not had it since being pregnant. It was a really nice treat. The food was SO good! The highlight of my night was the gift certificate Miles gave me for a massage. I REALLY need it. You mommy's out there know how achy one's body gets from toting around a little one!
It was a wonderful birthday! I am so lucky!

Happy Birthday! I am glad to hear that you had such a great day. I love the family picture. I was able to see Elle with both of you at the same time and see which features resemble whom. There is no question why she is such a beautiful baby!
Y'all are so cute. Glad you had such a good day!
I'm so glad that you found Ally's blog! Jim and I think about your family often and have asked Coby if he knew where y'all were. Elle is precious just like her parents!
If you are ever in FTW every please let us know.
