"Up all night, sleep all day"

Who's that pretty girl?

rolling over

What an eventful night we had! I woke to Elle screaming in her room at midnight. This was not a "mommy I am hungry or change me please" cry....it was obvious our little girl was in pain. She had not pooped in a couple of days and was straining a little yesterday. I thought it was just since she recently started eating rice cereal and her digestion track had to get used to it. She ended up being majorly constipated and was in a lot of discomfort. I woke Miles up after a good 30 minutes of her crying and nothing I would do soothed her. He went to Walgreens for us and got some infant suppositories. I just wanted something that would work fast and put her out of her misery.
I gave her one and it worked like a charm! So, she ended up back asleep around 4:30. It was a long night but I would do it over and over again if I had to. I realized how important a mommy is to a little one that is so helpless. Poor baby!
I really thought she would sleep in since she was up all night but she woke up at 6:30 and did not want to go back to sleep. I finally got her down at 9:30 and hopefully we can both get some good shut eye! She definitely seemed happier...here are pics of her playing in her crib this morning. It was good to see that sweet smile!

ooh! that's tough! once they're 2 months, you can give babies 2-4 ozs of water twice a day & that usually helps. if that doesn't do the trick, try diluted apple or prune juice. one of the funniest pix we have of gabe is tim giving him a shot glass of apple juice... :)
