4 years old

REALLY!? My baby is four! I can remember the morning I went into labor with Elle, like it was yesterday. Giving birth to her was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I enjoyed every bit of it. The excitement I felt and the antipicipation of finally meeting Elle was so awesome. I really would do it over and over again if I knew it would be that way every single time.

Elle at four you are becoming a little lady. You are getting to be so intuitive and are understanding so much. You have a a great sense of humor and are loving telling jokes. You are funny like your daddy and want to make everyone around you laugh like he does :) You have a quiet side around those you don't know but that quickly changes after spending a few minutes around newbies. You befriend little girls and boys at the park every time we go and I can tell they love being around you. You gravitate towards the older kids and want to be just like them. You have a couple of girl friends who are older and you think they hung the moon.
You are so loving these days. It makes me so happy to see how you love those around you. You are like mommy in that you are very emotional and sensitive. I feel for you when you get upset because I can remember feeling those emotions as a kid. I always just needed to get it out and would feel better. You are the same way.
You LOVE the spotlight to be on you. I know someone else who was like this too :) You are a performer. You are always saying " watch this mommy!" If I don't turn my attention to you right away, you get upset. You always have a new talent to show us.

You are an unbelievable sister. Your brother is in total awe of you. He follows you around the house and wants to do everything you are doing. He is in a hitting phase and you have never once hit him back. It makes me so proud of you! You yell and scream but never hit back :)

You are so smart and your memory amazes daddy and me. You remember Charley from over 2 years ago. You will see the vet where we had to say goodbye to him and say "Charley!!" This also gets daddy and I in trouble because you remember every little thing we promise to do with you.
You love love love your new school. You are learning so much and making so many fun friends. Anna Lee is a new bestie. You talk about her constantly. And of course there is Miles who has been your buddy since you were a baby. You were so excited to know you would be in his class this year. Your teachers love you which is not surprising!
3 was a tough age for you and I. There were many emotional melt downs and defiant moments but I see so much growth in you in the last few months. You are showing me more respect and eager to please me. This makes me so happy baby girl.
You love the Lord and are always talking about wanting to go to church or singing songs about God in school. You help daddy and I to be better people and to want to seek a relationship with Jesus daily. Thank you for that!
You are so athletic! You are an awesome ballerina and so good at soccer. You love to hit the baseball off the tee too. You take after your daddy :)

Princesses princesses princesses!! That is your main obsession these days. You want them all and want to look like a princess in your costumes anytime we are home. You change clothes at least twice a day and it is never into pants :) You have vetoed pants and will not wear them no matter what I do. You will only wear leggings or tights if it's cold out. And you are very particular about the dresses you wear as well as the pjs you wear. No pants, only night gowns. Stinker!
I am so glad you are mine Elle. You make me so proud to be your mommy. Daddy and I talk about how fun you are and your love for life, all of the time. I can not wait to see what the future holds for you. You are one special girl! I love you so much!!

Sweet post...I think Elle and Camden would be best friends. I felt like I was reading a letter written by myself and my Camden. They seem so much alike.
