Thank goodness for family

This has been one of the toughest weeks Miles and I have ever been through. We lost a very special person to us. We got the news of Mark's passing on Sunday. Bonnie, Dave, Emery, Gigi and 3 of their friends were at our house. It was hard to hold it all together around them, but they were such a huge support. I am so thankful they were here for most of the week. It really kept our minds off of the tragedy. It also made us realize how very special family is. It is EVERYTHING!
We had a great time with sweet Emery Jane. She is growing and such a strong little girl. She is 10 lbs now, holding her head up so well and so alert and interested in everything. She rolled over for the first time while Bonnie was at a friends house. We were sad we all missed it but so happy for our little Emery. Bonnie and Dave celebrated their 5th anniversary on Thursday. Since they were leaving that day, they went to dinner on Wednesday night. Miles and I got to watch Emery. What a joy she is. We snuggled and laughed at her precious little expressions.
Gigi was here until Wednesday and she got to spend lots of time with Elle. I am so thankful for the time we have had with her lately. We miss her lots and can not wait to see her again. Hopefully it will be fairly soon!
While everyone was here, we had our family photographer (i.e. DAVE!) take pics of Elle and Emery. Sooooo stinkin' cute. Look how ginormous my child looks next to little Emery!
