My Sweet Baby

Baby Girl,

I was just lying in bed, watching TV and thinking about how lucky I am to be your momma! Today was a trying day! You have decided to cut out your early afternoon nap and stay up for 4-5 hours!! And on top of that, you scared me to death! I was eating a nectarine and I let you lick a little piece I had cut off. I was holding it and you sucked it right out of my fingers! You automatically started to choke and I flashed back to our prenatal classes. I turned you over and started pounding on your back. It was HORRIBLE! The fruit flew out and you started to cry. My poor baby! I felt so awful and just held you for a good 30 minutes. We were both so upset. You kept looking up at me like you wanted some answers :( So, needless to say, I was pretty pooped after the choking incident and entertaining you but I never once wished I was anywhere else. You have started to really cling to me and you want me to hold you all of the time. When you are playing, you want me to get on the floor and be goofy with you. You try to pull up on my legs when I am standing next to you and you are reaching out now for me to hold you. I love that you want to hang with your mommy! You are such an amazing little girl! Daddy and I always talk about how you are so very special! There are great things in store for you sweet girl and I am so excited to watch them all unfold. I love you E!
