Day 1- not too succesful

I thought I would take on potty training E this week. It is not going so swell but I was ready for that to happen! I have a strong willed little girl! She likes to be in control and has really shown that the past few days. This may be a looooooong process but I wanted to get it started before Beck arrived. And I am hoping the kids at MDO will put a little peer pressure on her :)
We had all of our supplies:
potty chart
stickers
candy
milk
juice
new Dora panties
Pull ups for nap and night time (not even going to try panties at night right now :)

I really can't leave the house since I want her to be in panties all day so we are home ALL day. I got some cute craft ideas from another blog and we had fun doing those.
Elle was pretty stressed out all day and would not really relax. I hated to see her that way. She went in the potty 12 times but it was mainly dribbles. I made a HUGE deal out of it every time hoping she would think it was fun. She is a smarty and knew that dribbles in the potty equaled sticker and candy. So, this made her just do a little at a time and do it VERY often! There came a point where she had about 5 accidents in a row. No worries! It is only day one. I hope today goes smoother. Already she is doing better. She had one accident this morning but told me immediately and finished in the potty. Much different from yesterday- she would just sit it in and not say anything!

Bless your hearts, not that much fun, is it? I hope she is doing better or if not, just let it go for awhile longer. No biggie...most kids get potty trained when they are ready. Love the crafts! Great idea! And that one face looks JUST like you. xoxoxo
