Our Airedale Charley is 6 years old today. He was a second anniversary gift from Miles. We lived in Fort Collins at the time. We had had Nash for almost a year and really wanted to give him a friend to play with. We thought it would be nice to get a big dog. I saw an add in the Denver Post for large breed Airedale puppies. Miles' family has a history with terriers so we wanted to stay with that breed. Miles drove to a town in the mountains and picked up "Tank". Yep, that was Charley's name at the time and it was very fitting. He was all belly! Miles put him in the back of the car and drove back to Fort Collins. I came home from work and found a precious black and tan puppy sitting on the couch with Nash. Nash was so excited to have a buddy to play with but also had to show him who was boss. That is Nash's way. He is very alpha. And that is how the relationship has remained :) 

Sweet Charley, we love you so much! You are the most kind hearted dog and such a teddy bear. We can't wait till Elle is walking around, yelling your name. She will be chasing you and Nash before we know it!
